Ghanaian technological firm Finlite Group has created an innovative electronic test preparation service known as FinMock. FinMock is designed to help students study in preparation for examinations, including the WAEC-administered Basic Education Certification Examination (BECE) and West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
FinMock enables exam candidates to practice tests at their convenience and personal pace on a mobile phone, tablet device or personal computer and get instant results on the answers they have scored. Currently FinMock has a database of over 2,000 exam questions for practice.
Maxwell Kyei-Baffour, Vice President and Content Developer of the Finlite Group, in a statement explained that the new mobile subscription service was in line with the company’s vision of making knowledge accessible to all through customized e-platforms.
“Our voucher-based service is still available at a cost of GH¢7, which gives users access to all subjects for a three-month period. However, we are also considering situations where a student may prefer to study only a limited number of subjects, or may experience difficulty finding a voucher to buy.” He added.
The mobile subscription currently allows users access to one test subject area only. Finlite’s products, mobile-based services targeted at Ghanaian students, are currently available online at www.finlite.net.
